OUTFIT: $2 Mens Shirt | 2 comments :

WEARING: Thrifted Shirt (Abercrombie & Fitch) // Zara Jeans // Asos Trainers // Tote bag - Country Road

A very simple and casual outfit for the upcoming Spring season for Melbourne! I wore this outfit to do a couple of errands as well as doing a bit of shopping and it is definitely in my list of go-to lazy day outfits. And yes, this shirt only cost me $2!

OUTFIT: $7 mens shirt | 5 comments :

WEARING: Blue Buttoned Up - Thrifted // Satchel Bag - Thrifted // Black Ripped Jeans - River Island (asos) // Zinda Boots - Gifted

It has been a while since I blogged about thrifted pieces so here are my two favourite finds. And guess what, they only cost me $9 for both of them! If you love wearing oversize mens shirt, then I suggest you head off to your local op shop because you will most likely come across one for just under $10. I bought these pieces from my local RSPCA op shop so check it out if you're from Australia!

Here is an outfit that I styled with - I decided to dress it up a bit with my Zinda boots but if you wanted something more casual, white trainers would look great too! The blue of this shirt is what I really love and for $7, you can't go wrong. Can't wait to style the Abercrombie and Fitch shirt (that only cost me $2!) and show you guys!

OUTFIT: Casual Wear | No comments :

WEARING: Boyfriend shirt - Asos // Navy Longline Coat - Asos // Black Jeans - River Island // White Trainers - Asos // Grey Scarf - Country Road

My apologies for slacking on blogging! I've had a good run of posting and then I would return back to my old habits where I don't post for months. Hopefully I haven't lost the interest of you guys! I do post a lot of my OOTD's on insta so please check my account if you are interested in them!

I know that majority of these pieces here are from ASOS but being both affordable and stylish, I couldn't help myself. This is probably one of my favourite outfits because it is both casual (because of the trainers) but at the same time, it is dressed up a notch due to the basic buttoned up and the longline coat! I really loved how these trainers spiced up the outfit a bit, making it much more comfortable to move around in. I actually think I like them more than my Adidas Superstars!

OUTFIT : Shades of Grey | No comments :

Coat - ASOS // White Jumper - Thrifted // Scarf - Country Road // Black Jeans - ASOS // Boots - By Zinda

Say hello to a new member of my shoe collecton! These lovely boots were gifted from Daniel for our two year anniversary a few weeks ago and I honestly have no words to describe how grateful I was when receiving them! I have to say, Daniel sure has good taste in boots as he personally picked them out himself.

What I love about these boots is that they are shiny AND they don't hurt! When I first tried them on, they were quite stiff and I was worried they were gonna cause either blisters or scrapping across my ankle. The Verdict? No blisters or scrapping-against-my-ankle whatsoever! I opted to go with an all-grey-kind-of look with the new boots which I wore to a dinner that I had last Saturday with a couple of friends as well as Daniel's friends farewell party. And it really does make this outfit stand out! Really excited to wear these babies out more!

OUTFIT : Blue Winter | 8 comments :

Fedora Hat - Cotton On // Coat - Tobi // Jeans - Asos // Shoes - Zomp

Ever since I have bought this hat a month ago, I have been wearing it non-stop with every outfit that I have worn! It has been a while since I've worn a hat as an accessory so I think my obsession with hats are over loading. I promise I will settle down... not!

Winter has finally hit us for us Australians and boy, it has been freezing! I honestly don't remember Melbourne being this cold last year but hey, that's Melbourne weather for you. Here is an outfit that I wore a couple of days ago to do some errands. I have repeated this outfit so many times since it is so versatile with every occasion so I thought it deserved to be blogged haha! Currently on the hunt for some more coats and hats so watch this space!

OUTFIT : Usual Black and White | 6 comments :

Fedora - Cotton on // Scuba Jumper - Boohoo // White Trackies - Oskar the Label // Mules - Asos

Here is an outfit that I wore on the Sunday of last week for the Richmond Food Park that was happening throughout the week of May. It was probably a bad idea to wear white pants when it comes to eating street food but it was such a nice sunny day to bring them out as well being really comfortable in for eating! And just to let you guys know, I got no food stains whatsoever on it! (Really tried my hardest to avoid it).

We went around lunch time and boy oh boy it was one busy day! I couldn't imagine what it would be like around dinner time as the waits for food was about 20-30 minutes for lunch time. There were about 4-5 trucks serving different kinds of glorious food from massive Greek Souvlakis, thinly sliced pizzas to yummy street Thai food. We decided to get a juicy burger called the "Dude Burger" which took forever to wait but it was worth it! And better yet, the lady charged us $11.50 instead of the standard price of $13 :P. The burger was very moist with its juices dripping out (just how I like my burgers) and the bun was not dry at all! I think my favourite part of the burger would have to be the cheese haha. Even though the wait was long to get the burgers, it was delicious and the food truck experience was very fun and interesting!

BEAUTY : Aprils favourites | No comments :

Hello!

Been a while since I blogged about my favourite purchases so decided to take a break from my outfits and blog about the favourites from April. I didn't accumulate lot of things in the past month but I believe these products are worth blogging for. It will be a long as post compared to my other posts but I really want to tell you guys how much I love these products!

First and foremost, is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range where I purchase the Night Concentrate and the Hydro Boost Eye Cream. I purchase the two products at Chemist Warehouse and after a month of using it, I really do enjoy using them! I desperately needed an eye cream and a night cream where a friend actually first recommended a well-known Korean brand called Laneige. Now I am a type of person to read at least 15 reviews when it comes to purchasing skin care products and after a whole lot of reading reviews of the Laneige range, I stumbled on blogs where they reviewed the Neutrogena Hydro Boost and that it was somewhat a dupe to Laneige's Sleeping Mask Night Cream. Laneige is definitely brand that I would like to try but I had to order the products online. So I thought to my self, why not purchase the Neutrogena one first at a store near me? The night cream RRP for $20.99 and the eye cream was $15.99.

Neutrogena's Night Boost was boasted on many blogs and it was a much more preferred than Laneiges. The Night boost has a soft yet gooey texture but what I really love about the product is the cooling sensation when placed on the skin. I also love how it sinks into the skin in a matter of minutes so you don't really get a product-like-feeling when you hop into bed. The scent of the product smells quite nice and refreshing as well and when I wake up the next day, my skin feels soft and ready for what the day has to come. As for the eye cream, I really love how it has a rolling ball on the end of the applicator so you also get a cooling sensation when placed onto your eyelids. It has helped with the dryness and has decreased my eye puffiness but not a major change in panda eyes. Nevertheless, it was affordable and something easy to use. Both of these products were made in Korea so it made me feel that I was getting a bit of Laneige out if it haha! Will I repurchase them again? I will most likely repurchase Night Boost but as for the eye cream - I am the type of person to try and empty out the eye creams and purchase another brand.

My next favourite is probably hands-down the holy grail of everything I have ever owned and it is the L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation. I've only ever used one foundation brand which was the Revlon's Colour Stay and I really did love that product. But after using the Lumi Magique Foundation for the very first time, I have to say it beats Colour Stay by a million! It is also a dupe of Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk which retails for about $85 in Australia and for me, that is a bit expensive!
What do I have to say about the foundation? It. is. the. BEST! The coverage of Lumi Magique Foundation is 10/10, the price is decent but affordable (RRP for $33 but I got it for $19.80 due to Priceline's 40% sale), the shade is spot on (I am a C1 Rose Porcelain) and it has a SPF of 18 meaning it won't cast a heavy white cast when taking photos. I use a beauty blender sponge to apply on this my face and it gives out such a beautiful coverage. Will I repurchase? Hell yeah! I think this foundation is ideal for normal to dry skin (dry patches) but L'oreal states it works for many skin types!

Next to the Lumi Magique Foundation is the Lumi Magique's Primer. Now I don't think it is really a primer because it doesn't make my foundation last longer but instead, it is more of an illuminating primer. This will provide your skin with a 'luminous dewy glow' and if you're into that look, I suggest trying this product out! I really do enjoy using the primer as it gives me an amazing-shimmery-glow finish and it does make it easier for me to apply the foundation on it too. Overall, it will provide your skin a youthful and nice glow and I would definitely recommend purchasing it!

Last but not least is a gift from the boyfriend; the Larsson and Jennings watch. I was speechless when the boyfriend gifted it to me and it really deserves to be my favourite of a lifetime. It goes with every outfit that I have worn, it is a basic yet sophisticated item and better yet, it just reminds me of how lucky I am to have Daniel in my life :)

Phew! That was a whole heap! I probably should write a separate post for each product but I guess it wouldn't be considered a monthly-favourite, would it?

Do you guys have any recommendations for night creams, eye creams and foundations? I would love some recommendations and opinions from you guys!

OUTFIT : Oversize coat | 2 comments :

Happy to say that the cold season is here! That means layering up with thick oversize jackets, tons of sweaters and of course, beanies! Bought this nice jacket from Tobi few months and I finally got the chance to wear it out. It is somewhat oversize but I really do love the pattern of it.

Here is an outfit that I've put together on Friday. I think it may have looked better with skinny jeans or tight fitted black pants but the reason why I decided to wear the joggers was because I had an All-you-can-eat buffet date with the boyfriend that day. And who seriously wants to wear tight jeans when you are about to eat a ton of food!? I guess that calls for another outfit repeat :)
